Hettich America recently received the 2006 Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award from Bentwood Kitchens, a custom cabinet maker in Lancaster, Texas. The award recognizes Hettich’s service, innovation, flexibility and cooperation with Bentwood, which distributes cabinets to 75 independent dealers and 36 Home Depot Expo Design Centers throughout the United States.
The Bentwood and Hettich partnership began three years ago and has grown over the years. Today, Bentwood uses the complete line of Hettich hinges and drawer slides in its cabinets. These products, along with Hettich expertise and involvement in production and logistics, lead Bentwood to honor Hettich with the sole MVP Award in 2006.
“As a company, we decided to transition away from another hardware industry leader to Hettich’s offering three years ago based on the quality of their product at that time and more importantly, due to Hettich’s product direction going forward,” said Kevin Bryant, owner of Bentwood along with Randy Pittard and Wyman Stewart. “We were convinced that Hettich was positioning itself to become the market leader in terms of product innovation, and if you look at their offering today we feel very good about our decision.”
“We are honored to receive this award from such a high-end cabinet maker as Bentwood Kitchens,” said Thomas Ginschel, President of Hettich America. “This award goes to show that Hettich products and the company’s customer service are second to none. Hettich will continue to strive toward excellence as shown with the Bentwood partnership.”
Bryant said Bentwood was highly impressed with Hettich because the company continued to deliver on the new product expectations set in the last two years. Additionally, Bentwood was pleased with the service of Hettich America’s Key Account Manager Chad Wheeler and with the relationship they had established with Ingo Harders, Hettich America’s Division Manager.
Bentwood Kitchens, which was founded more than 17 years ago, consists of more than 125 expert designers, wood crafters and artistic finishers producing a full custom line of luxury cabinet styles and collections including French Country and Pacific Rim.
All finishes and wood-crafting done at Bentwood Kitchens are completed by hand to ensure long-lasting appeal and beauty, as well as attention to detail. Each master finisher and master wood worker combine artistic techniques with the highest quality materials, such as Hettich hinges and slides, to create beautiful, long-lasting wood working and finishes. Like a piece of fine furniture, Bentwood cabinets are handcrafted by trained artisans from the best materials available.
